This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. We collect this information for the purpose of providing the Service, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, servicing your purchase orders, and improving our services like sending updates about your child’s progress. Tappity also collects the minimal amount of information from users necessary for the app to work. Tappity members may draw or take photos in the app, which will be emailed to parents as part of the service if the parental email is provided. If we do not have your email, then it will remain solely on the device and not be shared. This information is never shared publicly.

Log Data - When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use and other statistics ('Log Data'). In addition, we use third party services such as Firebase & Mixpanel that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service's functionality. This information is for internal use only and can’t be shared. Also, these third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

Business Transaction - If Tappity is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred as a business asset. In such cases, we will provide notice before your Personal Information is transferred and/or becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Security - The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. Children's Privacy

We have designed our app for parents and their young children. Tappity is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. We do not intend Tappity for use by children under the age of 13 without parental supervision. In addition, users must be 13 or older to be eligible to register for a Tappity account. We have taken measures so features are age-gated, so that they’re not for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in connection to those features.

Tappity also takes certain measures to prevent children from submitting personal information to us or from accessing features that may collect or publish such information. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

When we intend to collect personal information from children, we take additional steps to protect children’s privacy, including: 1) Notifying parents about our information practices with regard to children, including the types of personal information we may collect from children, the uses to which we may put that information, and whether and with whom we may share that information; 2) Limiting our collection of personal information from children to no more than is reasonably necessary to participate in an online activity

Tappity in Schools - For services like Tappity that are strictly educational, COPPA allows schools special permissions to provide consent for services that are strictly educational. Under best practices, if a teacher chooses to act in loco parentis by using Tappity in the classroom, we advise them to review our Terms of Use and Policies closely, work with their school to obtain written consent for, to keep that consent on file, and to notify parents of Tappity’s Terms of Use and Policies. Tappity’s Terms of Use and policies are always publicly available on our website and app for review. In addition, we do not collect, use, or disclose personal information from a child if the Teacher User acting in loco parentis does not provide consent.

Data Retention - Tappity also retains data only as long as it is necessary to provide the service. If it is no longer needed, we delete data from our records within a reasonable timeframe. If you want to opt out of services, or review or delete your information, please contact us.

Changes To This Privacy Policy - This Privacy Policy is effective as of April 21, 2019 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
